We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Healthly New Year.  I am sitting in the office finishing some projects before the holidays.  The Church is decorated.  Tomorrow we receive our Poinsettias for the altar.  The Infant Jesus has been changed into his Christmas gold vestment, and he looks beautiful.  Cecilia and I are working on the Christmas Bell tree.  Each bell on the tree represents names that have been submitted by Shrine members and our Parishioners for prayers.  We all here in the office and gift store are excited for a few days off for Christmas.  We close Friday, December 22, at 4:00 pm and open on Thursday, December 28, at 9:00 am.  Then we close December 29 at 5:00 pm and open back up on Tuesday, January 2, at 9:00 am.

It well past time to have another post to our blog. We had a successful Kolache Festival here in Prague. We sold more than a 1000 dozen Kolaches.

Since then, we have reroofed and painted walls in the hallways and the gift shop. It looks a lot brighter. Philip Marsh was busy cleaning the bricks of the church and the hall. Glass partitions were installed in the church and the shrine room to cut down on noise from visitors while mass is occurring and to help keep the main body of the church cooler from heat of candles.  Father also lined the boxes for St. Wenceslaus and The Infant of Prague with white marble.

We received around 8 inches of rain in August and our grass is still very green and the flowers are blooming.

Have a Blessed Day.

We are coming to the end of the week.  This Sunday is our annual Czech Heritage Dinner on April 30, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.  I am looking forward to attending and sampling the Czech food to see if it is anything like German food.

Also remember that on May 6 the town of Prague will be celebrating the Kolache Festival.  Come by our booth to buy Kolaches.

Today, we changed the Infant Jesus into his Czech outfit for the upcoming festivities.  He is looking so beautiful.
