Message regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) closures

Beginning March 18, 2020 to April 12, 2020, Archbishop Coakley has suspended Mass through Easter Sunday, as a precaution to protect at-risk parishioners and to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition to suspending mass, we will also be closing the gift shop/office and the Shrine/Church during this time period. Please stay well and socially isolate. We will advise you if anything changes.

Have a Happy and Safe New Years Eve.

It again has been a Blessed Christmas Season here at the National Shrine of the Infant of Prague.  The church was decorated beautifully by volunteer parishioners   We received over 900 names for our Christmas bell tree.  We pray for your intentions for the names that you submit.  We hope you had very Merry Christmas with your family and friends, and that you have a safe and healthy New Year.  The weather around here has been unseasonably warm this year.  I can't wait to see what January brings us.

Again, it has been a while since I posted a blog.  We are definately in the throws of fall.  I believe we had one frost so far this year, and trees are begging to change.  This Thursday it will be a cold day lows in the mid-30s and high in the upper 40s.  In September, our mowers ran over a pygmy rattler and another was hanging out at one of the doors of the hall.  We were all careful where we step or put our hands.  Thank you to cooler weather, we should not have to worry too much.

August 9, 2019

Today Weatherbug.com says we got .56 of an inch of rain today.  It is hard to believe that we needed rain after record-breaking rain in June.  The month of July was very dry.  It is also nice because it cools things down a bit.  The tempurature is only 80 degrees today.  I am happy about that.

July was a struggle emtionally as Father Long's dad passed near the end of the month.  We had a Vietnamese Mass which was so beautiful.

I hope this finds you all well and having a great summer.
